In 2000 heeft Specialist Assoc. Prof. Basak Şeker begon haar opleiding tandheelkunde aan de Hacettepe Universiteit, Faculteit Tandheelkunde, gevestigd in de hoofdstad van Turkije, Ankara, waar ze succesvol afstudeerde.

2008

In 2008 werkte ze als onderzoeksassistent aan de Faculteit Tandheelkunde van de Near East University, afdeling Parodontologie, in Noord-Cyprus en was in 2007 een van de oprichters.

2012

In 2012 voltooide ze haar proefschrift en ontving de titels "PhD en Doctor of Science" van de afdeling Parodontologie en "Periodontologie Specialist" van het Ministerie van Volksgezondheid van de Republiek Türkiye.

2012

In 2012 werkte ze als assistent-professor aan de afdeling Tandheelkunde van de Eskişehir Osmangazi Universiteit, afdeling Parodontologie, en nam ze deel aan de oprichtingsfase van deze faculteit. Ze werd ook benoemd tot lid van de staf van de Faculteit Educatie, waar ze klinisch en formeel onderwijs verzorgde op bachelor- en masterniveau, wat ze tot op de dag van vandaag voortzet.

2022

In 2022 werd ze universitair hoofddocent, samen met haar klinische en academische studies aan de universiteit, en vanaf deze datum zet ze haar klinische studie voort aan de Dentarma Turkey Dental Aesthetics and Implantology Clinic in Antalya.

Ze heeft meer dan 30 artikelen geschreven in gerespecteerde binnen- en buitenlandse wetenschappelijke tijdschriften, en meer dan 50 papers op nationale en internationale congressen.

Haar professionele interesses omvatten tandheelkundige implantaatchirurgie, peri-implantitis gingivale chirurgische behandelingen, tandvleesziekten en -behandelingen en lasertoepassingen.

Zij is getrouwd met specialist prothetische tandheelkunde prof.dr. Emre Şeker en ze hebben een zoon en een dochter.

Ze spreekt Engels.
